NAPKA

Sounds like a little russian nap but just thought I would mention the Association is changing to fit our needs.

Wanted the Racing removed-done
Wanted insurance for other modalities-almost done
Wanted affordable dues-done in my opinion.

I got an email from Bbrex explaining the details but check it out for yourself. Until the name change is complete the link with send you to the original site.

I like it. I edited it. N is what happens when you hit the enter key instead of the shift key and post the thread with only one letter.

doh! I hate it when that happens.

That is good to hear. I will now join the non "racing" association. Cause now it doesn't sound like we are gonna run grandma down on the beach in competition. Now it sounds "responsible" and safe. The communist wealth of Virginia might actually listen to me now.

I certainly hope something can help. Reading about your issues reinforces the reality that we can all lose the places we ride. I usually ride on soccer fields and while I got permission from someone, that person is no longer in the organization and they could kick me off anytime

Just a little quote I recently read that made me think of this club and of some of the comments in the past made about it.

Nothing will change if you keep saying "nothing will change." #coffeeparty

Just a little food for thought

the new dues, is still affordable for what you get and will grow us. this is still a lot cheaper than if you live elsewhere in the world.

get on board ... and unite us all.

WELDNGOD - 1-7-2010 at 02:40 PM

The email I got said probably $40 a year because there are only 50 active (paying) members

bbrex - 1-7-2010 at 05:49 PM

Hello Everyone

Yes the dues for 2010/2011 will be $40. We will be starting a membership drive soon as our insurance renewal is Aug 15.

We will let you know when we start the membership drive. There will be 4 things that will need to be completed to become a member.

1. For NEW members you will have to go to the new web site www.NAPKA.org and register by answering some questions under the PILOTS tab on the header.
Pilots Registration,
name, address, email, region, pilot # wanted, kite activities, kites, bio, photo
2. Pay our $40 either by PayPal or check
3. Go to the resources section and download and print the Liability Waiver form, sign it and return it to me by email or mail
4. Email me a picture, preferably a headshot like on a passport, this will be the pic that will be on your membership card that will be mailed to you

1. For renewing Pilots you will need to complete a new Liability Waiver Form that has the new club name on it and send it to me.
2. Pay your dues by Aug 15th. If you wait until after Aug 15th an additional $10 will be required
3. If you want to change your picture from your previous pic then send me a new one

Please don't do any of this, until we say to go ahead, and all documents will have the new name of North American Power Kiting Association

Thanks

OH NO !!!! who let him have anything to do with the money

ripsessionkites - 1-7-2010 at 10:38 PM

to help out NAPKA, and get more members, Ripsession Kiteboarding (www.ripsessionkiteboarding.com) and Dakitez (www.dakitez.com) will now offer members 10% off by phone / email and website orders.

now sign up and lets get this group moving.

DAKITEZ - 1-7-2010 at 11:15 PM

Yes what he said ;-)

This is not a way for us to try and get more business, but it will help give you incentive to become a member of napka. Depending on your purchase you may save enough to pay for your yearly dues. So not only does being a member of napka support the sport you love it can give you a chance to save some money as well.

I am sure some if not all the other dealers involved in napka would be happy to offer you a discount as well.

To be honest I have not done much in the past to support this group. I am a member but that was the extent of it. But I do like the new direction the group is headed and want to do my part to help out.
