Looks like they finally sent the Google truck all the way out here to Bumfluff, Shiga ... if the link works right, you should drop into street view
and get a peak at "my" beach through the gap in the trees. Turn 180' and you'll see the "club house", Locus.
The funny thing is, there's no satellite photos of decent resolution on Google, but Yahoo Japan has close-ups - from like 10 years ago :puzzled:

They were still shipping image data physically at that point due to bandwidth restrictions..... apparently stuff finally cleared customs.

Bandwidth restrictions? Not here iWolf we got 1+Gbps fibre optic networks
everywhere with unlimited up/downloads :D I'm stuck with the poor country cousin version cos I can't be bothered going through the hooplah - only
100Mbps!
10 years back, I had 1.5Mbps all you could eat and that wasn't even the bleeding edge ...
... that's one good thing about Japan! Back in NZ they're still on like 10Mbps and a 20Gb cap per month :puzzled:indigo_wolf - 7-6-2010 at 08:09 PM
1 Gbs?!?! :o :o :o Start building the extension now.

We've had the gigabit fiber optic network at least 4 years now - it was an option when we moved into our present house, but it was a 4 month wait to
get internet and phone connected :dunno: so we just got plain old 100Mbit ADSL. Bet they got more gigabits now though ... although 99% of Japanese
people will only be viewing Japanese sites bet the trunks out of here aren't
that flash
Like I said, some things in Japan are awesome ... but only in the past 3 years have we got widespread deployment of nationally available ATMs
:puzzled: before that, you could only use your cash card at an ATM in your home state and when we first came to Japan, you could only use ATMs at
banks during office hours. Still, on bank holidays though you can't use money - we forgot to get cash last Xmas and had a very frugal 3 or 4 days :o
