If so looks like you had the time of your lives - except for the -25 degrees thingy.

Did a quick search and could be from a lake in Nova Scotia - let me poke around with some of the Cdn. east coast boys to see who was having all that fun.
There are a couple of guys in Ontario that regularly ride one lake in the winter with reg. tires when they get good conditions - lots of sliding and spinning

Ah! Paul - why on earth haven't we done something like this yet?!

how big is the lake? when is the best time to kite there?

sounds like the perfect place to give the xxtreme ice blades a run, and also take back the speed record into Canada from the De Dutch.

That sure looked fun. I wonder though how long before the bottom of the sled wears out at 40k:wow:

That's great! Wonder if that was the rodeo @2:37 or was he telling him to turn around.

-25 is for wimps, if you want a big lake try Slave Lake in Alberta. If you google it you'll see its size, we ran all the way from the town of Slave Lake to Joussard last winter and back was a total hoot. Seen all kinds of wild life, chased coyotes ans seen deer and moose. There where some wild pressure ridges this year which made excellent ramps for some wild air.

You dont need blades looking at that, they were doing very well on barrows

@FB...good find

Very Cool, Looks like a lot of fun. I bet you could get some killer power slides going on ice.....

bobalooie57 - 5-5-2010 at 09:51 AM

Back in another snow buggy post, I put up afew pic's of me in my buggy on std tires on Chaumont Bay, NY. It was a total blast! I imagine kind of like a playa in a way, that there is plenty of wide open, flat space and you can go about anywhere, fear reduced because you just slide when a gust comes, and it doesn't matter because of all that open space. Spins and slides are great fun too, just look out for pressure ridges/ cracks.

That was awesome. I wonder if barrows will work, how some grooved bigfoot tires or beach racers would do to get a bit on that layer of snow. You could see the buggy break loose on the uncovered ice. Very nice.
