Just realized Sauvie Island gets a lot of wind! Does anyone know of a good spot there?

Assuming you're referring to Portland, OR. I have never found a decent place, in the Portland area, to ride.
May I suggest coming to Sunset Beach. (if you haven't already)
Send me a U2U, I'll give you my phone number, and I can show you the ins and outs of Seaside, Sunset Beach, etc...

You looking for water or land kiting?
Sauvie Island is a good place for riding on water; it looks like there are few spots of open land but I haven't been able to investigate. Winds are
usually lower than further up or down the gorge, so expect to need a larger kite like 12-14. There have also recently been some car breakins in
spots, same with spots on the gorge, which is a shame. nwkite.com has a bunch of info on sauvie an other gorge stops. For water there's also jones
beach; never been there but been meaning to go to checkout the area for land use too, but in reality it's far enough down Hwy 30 that it's at least
for me I might as well go to the beach or hood river.

I'm just looking for land at this point. I ended up going to Evergreen Airfield. I got a solid 2 and a half hours in, but since I was alone I figured
that was long enough. I had a blast though

I know people kiteboard on the water at Sauvie island but I don't know of a land spot ?
Most folks I know from Portland ride Sunset Beach.
