Release Form

Hardrock - 3-4-2010 at 08:21 AM

Does anybody have a Release of Liability Form that was written for kite flying I could get?

I've been thinking of writing something up for years, but you guys know how well I write. LOL

Thanks

Details?

Are you talking about Liability Waiver for an event (I have one I drafted for the AKA last year) or for the sale of a kite (Into the Wind and several others do this for kites over a certain size).

Let me know.

ATB,
Sam

I have one from my Insurance company for JIBE, let me look around for an e-copy...

EDIT: Attachment e-mailed.

I can't believe I have never thought of this when asking permission to use land! This would probably make life much easier...

If you guys got something together, I'd like a look at it.

send me an e-mail address and I can send the attachment. Mine is meant for a participant at an event but you could turn it around to protect a land owner.

Some insurance people say that waivers mean nothing these days, but my agent does sports events and they insist that a properly worded release is a great first defense against legal action.

Here's what we've been using for our snow kite event on the Tug Hill.

I have a few if you haven't found any yet, let me know.

I'm looking for something like this as well... more on the lines of static flying. Just about everyone that I go to for opinions around here says that some people might not let me fly due to insurance risks. I've even made a comment that I'd gladly sign a release form and give it to the people.
