The Day After Labour Day

John Holgate - 11-3-2010 at 06:38 PM

Labour day is a public holiday in Aus. Extreme Kites holds a meet down at Sandy Point (2hrs south east of Melbourne) on the Sat/Sun/Mon. there was lots of storms and rain around and I didn't get quite as much kiting done as I would have liked. So I stayed an extra day because the forecast was promising. The beach is about 14km long from Sandy Point down to Waratah Bay to the west. It's an amazing flat, wide beach that can be used from 5-6 hours around low tide. No rocks, gullies or anything for the whole 14km. This is my vid from Wednesday. I started at 11.30am and came off the beach around 4pm. Enjoy!

Torquay Beach got me thinking of Basil, assumed you were in the UK. Thus a pom
If you filled in your location I'd have thought you were an ozzie ... dunno which is worse
