Texas buggy spots

Txshooter38 - 10-3-2010 at 05:17 PM

Ok...so the first buggy is on the way and I am trying to figure out some places to get it rolling. Does anyone have a list or web sites for buggy sites in Texas? I tried to Google it without much success. Just looking to see what the closes places are to me to get going.
I am near San Antonio and I know Corpus Christi has some spots I just don't know where.

It says kitesurfing, but should have fields too.

First you find me a buggy and then you find me a place to drive it....you rock!

Google McAllister Park. They had a kite festival there in Feb 2008. I came down to buggy for a bit. Not sure if you can still buggy there, but it was several hundred acres of open space at the time. I think they still have a kite club that flies there once in a while.

If you are ever up in Austin, North East Metro Park and Old Settler's park both have a big field.

Oh yeh... and come to Cinco de Mayo. May 7-9 at San Luis Pass.
Should be about a dozen of us.

Sweet....McAllister park is not far at all....I have been meaning to go there for a mountain bike ride anyway. I had no clue they had room for buggies.

SE winds @ surfside beach, you can ride for about 10 miles with out stopping. Epic goodness, has to be SE wind though, SSE is pushin it.
