So,
I am a newcomer around here. Hello all who read this! Long post, sorry, I have many questions after a great session today. I am not sure this is
okay, but I'll break my post into several so as to keep my questions and hopefully, your answers, tidy.
Late December, I went for my kite lesson and learned the basics of getting going on the snowboard. I got myself a used foil, and did a few static
sessions a few weeks back, and got on my board today. I have been looking forward to this day for sooooo long.
In a nutshell, I got my kite up (barely), and got myself going. Early on and late in the session, there was just enough wind which forced me to learn
to sine the kite to keep going, and a bit stronger winds 1/2 way in the session. I went back and forth on the lake for about 2 hours, and managed to
learn upwind basics. It ended with a sunset, with the kite silouetting against the setting sun. All in all, a very good day!

ya, I got out today as well, but the winds were weaker, so spent 50% of the time simply statically flying it. But, it was nice to get out.
I caught a few moments where things were working nice and it was just 'working' - and it was great - but overall, I was rather busy concentrating on
making sure my edging was working and making sure the kite was staying in the air. I can't exactly indulge in those moments cause the kite would
probably crash and who knows what would happen to me, but I look forward to the day when the flying skills are much more automatic.
Dido, my bindings need a change. Too much pressure on my tendon above my ankle. I got an old version of the flows, nice to get into but they could
use some improvement on the comfort factor.
Have fun on the Montana!

the board i got was a hand me down from a friend.. and i doubt he paid much for it... the board needs waxed... BAD... and the bindings arent like
anything ive seen... i think i'll prolly swap out for a set like my atb has... 3 piece velcro... something i can bail on if it gets dicey... so with
sticky, shallow snow... it was a little awkward... if i can wax it, and get more snow... i think i'll be cookin in no time
