So, with a new baby in the house I'm trying to be a good daddy and husband by "banking" my hall passes waiting for days like today (was SUPPOSED to
be). Trouble is I get all stoked to go play only to get out there and get skunked. I shook my head as I was deciding if I should even put the helmet
on thinking "of course....you got the SA for days like today and left it at home because the forecast was for steady 11kts all day."
Murphy's law......
Insult to injury? I'm working the cripes off my Phanny (and my fanny) and as I come back I see the owner of the other SA launching....the SA.

Mini-Van. Load it up in November with everything you would possibly need for any wind and surface condition and don't unload it until late April.
The only way I get skunked is if the ZERO wind.
There's just enough room for me the wife and the dog.
Perfect!

Always need the kite you left at home. Always.
At least you didn't get totally skunked and you made it out for a bit.

My last four chances have all been skunks.
If the ripstop is at hand, the wind is not.
If the wind is blowing, the ripstop is elsewhere.
The only thing I do with respect to kiting these days is maintain my calluses.

Buddy you really have to come up here for a run. We had 30 to 39 km winds yesterday, Scorpion was in her glory but a few of the pressure ridges are
huge (14" in the air). 20 km winds today and pretty steady heading out to local lake with some newbie's to get some trainer time in.

What YOU need is a PowerBlast 4-8 and no you can't have mine ... was out yesterday again in 1-2 m/s - barely enough to ruffle my hair but was trying
to drag me down the park :wee:
