"...excuse me...."

I look over my shoulder and the person I had seen just a minute ago about 300 yards away staring at me with one hand on a cell phone to the ear was now standing by the road addressing me from about 200 feet away.
Before she was talking it seemed like every time I noticed her she was a bit closer; like she was teleporting every time I looked away.

"Hi.." I say politley

"Hi..do you have permission from my neighbors to be out in that field?"
Her tone was robotic.
"No...I don't"
I try to say it with a tone of voice that reflects the sound of my guilt.
"well....."she paused for a sec with a sigh and then changed her tone of voice....
"I don't think my neighbors would appreciate you running around in the middle of their rye field..."
"This is a rice field?"
"RYE FIELD"....
"oh...well I saw that huge for sale sign and thought that this was vacant.."
"nope they live there"....More robot speak.
I looked around and saw no other house anywhere within at least a mile. I told her I will pack it up like a kid who's mom just told him to clean his room.
The robot says "THANKS". After I landed my BRAND NEW kite I looked back and she was gone.
It was hard to be humble. I wanted to tell her to f$$$ off !!!

Damn nosey neighbors..........

kicked out again!

Engrish? heh heh.

If it is a Rye field her concern is legitimate. Rye is generally planted in the fall, dormant over winter, and then matures next spring/summer.

Trampling the seedlings wouldn't do her friends harvest / livelyhood any good.

Good luck...

With the law suit that could be initiated by the farmer if he sees your posting above where you arrogantly, publicly, declare your intent to willfully trespass on his property (again) and, coincidently, destroy his winter rye crop? :puzzled:

I understand and sometimes follow the "Beg forgiveness" philosophy myself; but going back to private property you've been told not to buggy at..... and then bragging about it on the internet. Hmmmmm.:thumbdown:

art_lessing - 14-2-2010 at 12:13 PM

actually the original post was my intent to buggy at a local park or OB...I would never buggy on a sensitive field... I was only static flying on the rye field anyway....I really want to leave-no-trace at all...and I didn't see any "no trespassing" signs or anything else ... except for a huge Coldwell Banker 'for sale' sign...and also I would never go back to private land that I had been booted from..that would be asking for it..I guess I should have clarified

Was this the field we were checking out by Chiles?

I can think of a few places where there would be some rock salt mixed in with the birdshot. :o
