Local coverage

stetson05 - 3-1-2010 at 12:22 PM

We got some local coverage by the paper. We got almost a whole page. I got a pic of me with Dakitez's twister and a pic of my son with his depower hydra. Another kiter here got two pics as well. I hope we can find more interested people in our area. I will try and post the pics once they make them available.

The mod seems to work well for my son. He can really feel the difference. He weighs 45lbs and I weigh 200 and so it is a little difficult for me to feel the difference. I have used it once with my buggy in higher winds and it worked.

Yeah I know. I flew it that day but a little later and I think they were done taking pics. I got my first snowkiting session with it the other day. It was pretty fun, but the snow is all gone now. Oh well. There is no wind either but when there is it's great riding my board.

That is just an awesome picture! Great publicity too. Several plugs about being safety conscious.

Gabe, What's all that green stuff you buggy and board on? All we have is white, wet, and sloppy.

stetson05 - 5-1-2010 at 09:40 PM

the took the pics for the article in September but just put it in the paper. I had my first real snowboard session on that field the other day before all the snow melted.

The field is about 300m wide but the grass is very thick and takes more wind to get rolling. Of course I don't complain much when I wipe out on it. Mapquest says it is 6.5 hours to pasco from Vancouver. It is 5.5 hours to quincy and I would say that sod farm is a much better place to ride. I wouldn't turn down a visit and a chance to meet some other kiters.

If one was to drive that far this winter I think it might be worth going to boulder park by Chelan when there is some good snow there
