no wind... none... nada...

Drewculous - 23-11-2009 at 09:17 AM

i just wanted to vent my frustrations with the wind situation here in nebraska... there is no wind... and when i say no wind i mean, not even a breath... its been this way for like 2 weeks! i was up about 6 this morning and the wind was about perfect.... but i have to be at work by 7, and no sun till about 7.... grrr

Im just anxious to get out and try the radical i got passed... but man, there has been nothing going on! This weekend was nice and warm for the area, but no wind..... i had to resort to beer.... it made me feel a little better about the situation tho, lol

Here in CT we have been in a wind drought as well. I think 2 weeks ago I flew a kite. But it was iffy then too. Supposed to be 10-20 today but of course it is pouring out!

It's been soooo long since i've been out guys... I mean... I only went twice last week!! (it's ok, don't feel so bad, it was 4 weeks of no wind before last week)

Man, I get 5-10mph winds only once a week and its killing me! Even with th 15m Syn, i have to crank it to get enough to pull me on the board.

Man its frustrating lol

Yeah Socal has pretty much shut down water wise unless you have a big FS Speed. But having said that it seems like it's always blowing at least 10mph which is ok for buggying...and then of course El Mirage which was blowing 19 the other day...but that's 100 miles from my house...but can't complain...at least it's blowing....

only 100 miles? Thats nothing. I was putting in 3hr trips (one-way) every weekend to go kite-surfing. :)

It's been about 9 days since the last good wind. Possible 10-20 tomorrow though

I felt like riding, and didnt want to hassle with the Chesapeake bay (who really wants to dive into that water). So I drove out to the coast. Was definitely worth the trip. Didnt make it out yesterday, though I kinda wish I had...

The three hour trips are better than the 4hr trips to get to Wildwood from where I live. Unless I'm staying over night...
