Today on my hour and a half break in between two of my classes I flew the Beamer 2m. Had some great winds, 8-15mph and had a ton of fun! I'm sure a lot of noobs have posts like this that are weak sauce flights to more experienced fliers, but it was a blast! I flew my prism snapshot 1.2 at first and had 3 guys yell, "sweet kite!" sincerely out there window as they drove by. And then when I put up the Beamer, I overheard 2 of the campus maintenance guys in their golf cart talking to each other and one of them said, "is that guy flying a parachute?" I couldn't help but grin to myself :spin: :spin: :wee:

The field itself was fairly nice, across from the athletics complex and on a gentle slope down to the south. Should make for some extra energy when the wind is out of the south. Only thing that I didn't like was the powerlines effectively cutting the field in half from East to West.

Try the field at Allen Military Academy just north of AM. Ask the commandant if anyone ever broke my demerit record. LOL

One time I had my kite on the ground, lines stretched out and holding the handles, and someone said, "Did you just land here?":singing:
