Today on my hour and a half break in between two of my classes I flew the Beamer 2m. Had some great winds, 8-15mph and had a ton of fun! I'm sure a
lot of noobs have posts like this that are weak sauce flights to more experienced fliers, but it was a blast! I flew my prism snapshot 1.2 at first
and had 3 guys yell, "sweet kite!" sincerely out there window as they drove by. And then when I put up the Beamer, I overheard 2 of the campus
maintenance guys in their golf cart talking to each other and one of them said, "is that guy flying a parachute?" I couldn't help but grin to myself

The field itself was fairly nice, across from the athletics complex and on a gentle slope down to the south. Should make for some extra energy when
the wind is out of the south. Only thing that I didn't like was the powerlines effectively cutting the field in half from East to West.jellis - 10-11-2009 at 06:13 PM
