I'm new to power kiting flown a freinds once and was hooked. I have decided to buy a power kite after much searching i have decided on a HQ Beamer.
The problem i face is i can get the 3.6 and 5m for the same price. Can anyone help or offer advice on which to get?

Start with the 3.6. You can buy a 5 later when you get more experience.

I have the Beamer in both the 3.6 and 5m sizes. For me the 3.6 flies better. It turns better and seems to handle light winds better. I know that
doesn't make sense but its true. If it were one of my trick kites I would pull the tow point up, thereby incresing the angle of attack. The 5 just
seems to need a bit more wind to inflate and fly to the zenith. Yet it is much smoother and predictable in rough air. For what little jumping I've
done, the 5 seems much safer. Yet I feel its too much sail to learn on. So I would recommend the 3.6. Its a great flying kite that pull stongly as
well. The Beamers, however, aren't noted for developing lots of lift. They are more noted for smooth, predictable handling and a forgiving nature.
