The gov't weather service has a gale warning up. They are predicting winds of 40kts by noon.
Right now we are seeing an interesting phenomenon: the wind at Sand Heads light ship is blowing 14kts NW, about 8 miles away at Vancouver
International it is blowing 5kts E. Our flying field is sort of between these two points so it could have no wind at all.

Wind at YVR is now 22kts gusting to 30. I not sure kiting is in the picture. Good day to get yarded. Maybe I will go down to GP and see who is
brave/crazy enough to go out buggying. I do not have a kite small enough or a field big enough for this. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little calmer
- 15-20kts.

I went to Vanier , set up the 15m Syn.
When I left the wind meter showed 20kts average.
By the time I got padded up the voices were SCREAMING , don't do it. :ticking:
I packed up and went to Vanier, Misery loves company + no way I was launching alone. Everyone went home. When I got home the wind was averaging 32
kts. with gusts.
Good thing is, Rip' is now convinced to bring us in an 8m Syn. :cool2:

it wasnt that windy ... only going steady at 50 Km/h
not nearly as much as Vegas. If we had a smaller Syn, BR and I would be freestyling.
No problem buggying today either, TDMC and I were out riding. TDMC's Beamer 2m wasnt enough for me. However the ApeXX holds steady, I would have liked
to add a few kgs to the rear and front. I was ready to setup the RII 2.2 / Nitro 3.1m until everyone wanted to go.
today was the day to beat my PR. I NEED SPACE. Head to Alvord with Eli
