Last year I heard that Superior Dry Lake (~30 miles north of Barstow CA) might be taken over by the U.S. military or something, all public access cut
off. Has anyone been out there recently?
I'm hoping to pay a visit and maybe even fly some kites out there in late September or the first week of October. I've only ever been out there for
the NABX pre event, so I'm not sure what it's like in the Fall.
Also is El Mirage charging day use fees?

Yep...$15 for a daily pass.
