Great place to fly lots of wind, and open fields... but that's all that is here.lunchbox - 10-9-2009 at 06:53 PM
I used to tell my wife I wanted to move to Dodge City because every time I looked at the forecast, it was always windy!
...but she is a California girl and wouldn't even consider it. Guess I need to find a KS girl who loves to buggy :singing:soccerflyer - 16-11-2009 at 08:15 AM

LOL...Totally understand Soccerflyer...My wife says I can look as long as I don't touch : )
....so, how is the wind in Kansas???soccerflyer - 16-11-2009 at 09:12 AM
It blows a LOT most of the year. It is a gustier wind than the coasts, but it does consistently blow. It is uncommon to find a week without at least
one day of 15 mph + winds. There are lakes to kitesurf on, and plenty of fields for ATB or buggying. I have even found two old airports that I can
traction kite on several of the runways!!!
Pretty sweet place for power kiting!!!
PS my wife says I can't even look . . . .:dunno: :embarrased:
