Wich bar for a PKD buster II ?

Hi all ,

as a newbie , I was wondering if one could fly a Buster II 4mē on a bar , and if so , wich one would you recommend .
I'm flying it now on the 4-line handles from PKD ....
Thanks for your light

Why are you wanting to go to a bar ????

I believe your only option is going to be the new crossover bar if you want to retain the maneuverability. Just as long as you're aware that this is a fixed bridle kite and a 4 line bar from a depowerable won't work for you.

Why are you wanting to go to a bar ????

Well , I thought that beeing hooked on a trapeze with a bar , it would be easier to steer with 1 hand , keeping 1 free if I wanted to , for instance ...

Other question :
In the manual of the Buster II , I found this :
"The BUSTER II is fitted with the new PKDS (Paracontrol Kite Depower System) which enables a
quick and easy adjustment to change the AoA (Angle of Attack) of the kite."
On this forum , in april 2007 , Krumly has put a link to the UDS system , and there is a article on "Depower the buster" .
Since Buster II has a different bridle ,( as mentioned above) it's not applicable 1on1 , but would this be possible in a modified version on Buster II ? I don't have the knowledge to do this on my own , but I'm sure 1 of you guys might ;)

Not sure what your asking, but the Buster II comes with handles that have a strop build in and I fly with 1 hand all the time,(you have to use a harness). As said above converting to a bar will change the reaction time if the kite. As for the Paracontrol Kite Depower System, the middle setting is for normal flying. Adjusting it one way or the other will slow the kite down or speed it up, with more or less power. This is mostly for use in a buggy or on a ATB.

I'm still not clear what your trying to accomplish ?
I'm pretty sure that the UDS is a depower set-up ?
I'm pretty sure that you can manually adjust the AOA on a Buster 2 ?
Are you trying to create a depower kite ? Buy a proper depower kite and save the agro !
Are you just trying to put a bar on your Buster so you can ride one handed and ... ? Buy a harness and start hooking in !

Be aware that Fixed Bridle and Depower bars are different ! To do Krumly's depower set-up you need a bar + trimstrap. For just flying fixed bridle ( and manually adjusting AOA ) then I suggest a crossover bar.
