Hope to be on the road in 5 hours from now.
See you down there.

I'M ON THE WAY

soliver - 10-5-2014 at 09:19 AM

I packed up yesterday and the day before... Loaded up the buggies... 5 hrs at work and now I'm on the way!

Made myself a little sign

3shot - 10-5-2014 at 02:24 PM

Love the sign! Last dude asked me where the motor was

Travel safe everyone! See y'all very soon

Was hoping to see the NAPKA registration list a mile long.... :puzzled:

PHREERIDER - 10-5-2014 at 03:57 PM

signage! nice

soliver - 10-5-2014 at 04:46 PM

Thanks guys, I just showed up on the Northern end of Saint Simons where my inlaws are renting a house for the week... It's super nice.

Working on getting kids to bed just now.

Forecast looks better for Wednesday so I may come then. Anyhow, I'll see y'all later this week.

Drive safe everyone

acampbell - 10-5-2014 at 07:13 PM

Great signage. I'd get asked what kind of lawn mower it was. "Google it." Fuuuunnny. And smart.

soliver - 10-5-2014 at 07:34 PM

Thanks Angus... I'm looking at the forecast for the week, what day do you think would be best to come over Wednesday or Thursday.

acampbell - 10-5-2014 at 08:15 PM

Wednesday but keep watching the forecast- it's changing every 6 hrs. Seems for the better. We need the high pressure system to win the fight and that's where my money is.

soliver - 11-5-2014 at 10:54 AM

I'm already planning for Wednesday then... That's what I was thinking too

3shot - 11-5-2014 at 04:53 PM

SWEETNESS!... Welcome to GA!!!

See you on Wed.

The beach topography has changed immensely here on the north end of Saint Simons and there's supposed to be a good strait on Easterly tomorrow afternoon,... I'm planning on taking my older 2 girls on a good mile long tandem ride after lunch tomorrow.

You should get down to the beach tomorrow the forecast looks good for you... Sub 10 mph in the morning then up to 11 mph after lunch... Hit it man!!!

I have a 12v pump in the car. Let me know if you need a hand pump.

acampbell - 12-5-2014 at 11:36 AM

I don't have a number here for Mark if someone sees him first let him know I have his Nmco tires in the back of my car.

3shot - 12-5-2014 at 06:23 PM

Made some more new friends today had a blast sharing the Jekyll sand. Learned tons of good info. That beach was smooth as ice in most places. Never seen anything like that before. Loaded up on 100 SPF sunblock and still baked. The sun, she is intense lol.
Can't wait til tomorrow to do it all again.

csa_deadon - 12-5-2014 at 07:23 PM

Getting a little antsy sitting here waiting for my 06:30 flight. Wonder if they allow hitch hikers on the runway?

soliver - 12-5-2014 at 07:25 PM

Oops, sorry I've been drinking your beer the last couple of days but the are still a few left at the Jekyll island store.

Good day today out riding with Jason, Andrew, Ted, Don and Angus came by to check on us and Scott took photos and attempted to sort out his RC paraglider dude.
Nice day for cruising, it was hot and humid but very comfortable with the afternoon breeze. Ran down to south water tower and past the north water tower a few times and played in the middle a lot - a good day.

waltweb - 13-5-2014 at 04:09 AM

See you all late wed afternoon!

Demoknight - 13-5-2014 at 08:37 AM

I will be showing up with Itay early tomorrow morning. We have the car packed last night and We are leaving straight after work today around 4pm central. Markite, I know you guys don't get that stuff up in Scandanadia, so don't over do it. They go down easy :) I still need to work up a cup holder(can holder) for the bug for cruising. Do you think they even have laws for KUI? Did I say that out loud?

soliver - 13-5-2014 at 11:37 AM

Excited to see faces from last year and new faces as well!!!

I'm gonna get there early tomorrow, probably around 10am.

Angus, my wife is promoting the event for you too, ... she saw Peter and a friend of his flying on the beach yesterday and made sure to tell them about JIBE (not knowing Peter of course)... He said of course he'd be there... I'm sure with his whole KAP rig too.

Demoknight - 13-5-2014 at 12:18 PM

I am bursting at the seams to be able to hang out with so many kiters of so many experience levels and styles from all over the country. I couldn't be happier to be able to hang out and fly with everyone there.

csa_deadon - 13-5-2014 at 03:44 PM

Finally! Who would have thought 5-6 hours flight time would take all day.
See ya all on the beach in the A.M.

3shot - 13-5-2014 at 04:10 PM

Woohoo! Another great session on da beach today. Time for some pizza and cold beer.

acampbell - 14-5-2014 at 05:03 AM

Nice JIBE write up on Weatherflow Facebook page.
They are the ones that operate the commercial weather station located at the JIBE parking lot.

https://www.facebook.com/windalert

https://www.facebook.com/iKitesurf

They will publicize the event ahead of time next year.

TEDWESLEY - 15-5-2014 at 09:08 AM

Yesterday was so great, that I almost don't mind the rain today.
I'm ranking it in the top 5% of all the days that I've plunked myself in the seat.
Whoever ordered that shower while I ate lunch, knew how to clear stragglers off the beach.

I agree and second that motion... Probably in my top 1% of days in the buggy seat.
